Background Story:
The city of Varenna was one of my favorite stops while visiting Lake Como in Italy. The vibe of the entire place is so casual and sexy. With all of the colorful homes perched in the hills and windy roads, it almost feels like you're walking through an amusement park.
I was so in love with this city that I actually returned here on the ferry just one day after my first visit. During this second visit, I noticed a road that zig zagged up the mountainside. There was only a small shoulder for me to walk in, but I decided to hike up it anyway. I snapped this photo while hiking up this mysterious road. The street was steep and uncertain, but led me to the vantage point of a lifetime.
