Background Story:
This photo was captured seconds after I laid eyes on the Amalfi Coast for the first time. I was staying in a small town tucked away in the mountains called Agerola. When I first arrived there was a torrential rain storm showering the town. After a few hours it cleared and I walked over to the closest overlook to my hotel. I was welcomed by one of the best sunsets I've ever seen in my life. The remaining rain clouds were refracting an orange purple glow across the entire horizon of the sea that was thousands of feet below me. Along the cliff wall were white stone baskets with fresh red flowers carefully placed in them. I zoomed in and focused my camera in on this one. All of the elements of the passing storm, open landscape, manicured displays, and romantic ambiance are condensed into this frame.
